Membership Information

To join the Center, member companies contribute $50,000/yr to help support Center research. The National Science Foundation (NSF) has negotiated a reduced overhead rate of only 10%. The research projects pursued within the Center are agreed upon by the member companies in cooperation with the academic researchers at CSU and UT Austin.

Intellectual property (IP) generated within the center is shared by its member companies. In the case that there is more than one company interested in the IP, it is royalty free nonexclusive rights to each and each shares the cost of patenting and maintenance. For the case of only one company interested, there is opportunity for royalty bearing exclusive license.

For additional information or if you are interested in becoming a member of the Center, please contact the Center Director or Deputy Director. Our standard membership agreement that all members must sign as is can be found here. If you would like to attend an IAB meeting prior to becoming a member of the Center, you will need to complete this standard Non-Disclosure Agreement and send a copy to the Center Director.

More information about the NSF's Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) program is available at their website.
