Key Requests
For key requests email Kevin at haynes@che.utexas.edu. Please provide your name, EID, room number needed, and the affiliation to the department. All graduate students must complete three online lab training modules (OH101, OH201, OH202) and have signed up or completed FF205 Fire Extinguisher training, before keys can be issued. Sign up for modules OH 101, OH 201, OH 202, through the Environmental Health and Safety webpage. Module FF205 can be found on the Fire Prevention Services webpage.
Building Safety and Maintenance
Building safety or maintenance issues should be reported to support services. After hours problems can be reported at any time by calling (512) 471-2020. Reports should include a clear description of the problem and location.
Chemical Waste
Safe and proper disposal of chemical waste is ultimately the responsibility of the person generating the waste. Students can obtain proper disposal tags and pick-up request forms from the Support Services Center.
