Why I chose to study Chemical Engerineering: In high school I always enjoyed math and science and I knew I wanted a major which combined those disciplines. When I began researching engineering, I found chemical engineering merged everything I loved while providing opportunities to pursue a variety of industries.
What I love about Austin:
Austin has so many opportunities to be active and outdoors. I love it!
The biggest challenge since coming to college: The biggest change is definitely the block schedule. I am used to seven hour school days, so I have had to adjust to longer classes for fewer days.
Favorite TV show: Downton Abbey because it is a period drama with British accents staring Maggie Smith. Need I say more?
Three things most people don’t know about me:
1. I love card games. Spades and Nertz rank at the top of the list.
2. Roller blading is one of my favorite past times.
3. I am minoring is Spanish and I am super excited.
