Elias Klein Founders' Travel Awards

The NAMS Board of Directors has established a travel program to support students needing limited financial assistance ($500) to attend a NAMS Annual or ICOM Meeting to present their research (oral or poster presentation). This award program is named in honor of Elias Klein, whose vision and spirit guided the founding of NAMS in 1985. Students from North America (including Canada) and South America who are either NAMS members or will register for the Annual NAMS Meeting are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to students who have not received any prior financial assistance from NAMS.

Application materials and review criteria: (submitted as electronic PDF or MS Word files)

  1. one-page resume describing the applicant’s education (including undergraduate and graduate GPA),
  2. the title and abstract of applicant’s oral presentation or poster,
  3. description of your need for financial assistance to attend the NAMS annual meeting, and
  4. one-page nomination letter by faculty supervisor who is a current member of NAMS.
