The NAMS Annual Meeting Student Travel Awards are presented annually to outstanding young individuals who are just beginning work in the membrane area. This includes undergraduates and graduate students within the first 2 years of their graduate program. Prior recipients of any type of NAMS Travel Award are not eligible to reapply. Each Annual Meeting Student Travel Award will provide up to $1000 reimbursement for reasonable expenses associated with attending the Annual meeting (for example, travel costs, registration, and/or workshops), and a free one-year membership in NAMS. Applicants must be nominated for the Annual Meeting Student Travel Award by a current member of NAMS.

Application Deadlines and Review:
Application packages must be received by March 1, 2006 (emailed to Michelle Chapman, mchapman@do.usbr.gov). Applications will be reviewed by a panel of reviewers appointed by the Board of Directors of the North American Membrane Society. Award decisions will be made by March 15, 2006.

All decisions by the panel are final. We expect to be able to give up to 5 Annual Meeting Student Travel Awards for the 2006 meeting in Chicago, Illinois, May 12-17, 2006.
