The NAMS Student Internship Award is intended to aid in hiring talented students to work in the area of membrane science primarily during the summer months. NAMS members in good standing may apply for up to $5000 to fund high school or university students to work in a variety of settings – non-profit organizations, government or university labs, or with a small company. NAMS intends the award to provide student research experiences in membrane science and technology that would not be available otherwise. The award recipient and student will each be required to provide a short (1-2 pages) article for the NAMS Membrane Quarterly describing the project results and the Internship experience upon its completion. We anticipate awarding 1 or 2 of these awards per year depending upon the quality of the applications and the total budget requirements.
