Research Description
Antibody Fc Engineering Using Bacterial Display System. Fc region of IgG is responsible for antibody effector functions including antibody dependent cell mediated cytotocicity (ADCC), complement dependent cytotocicity (CDC), and serum stability by binding to Fcγ receptors, C1q, and FcRn, respectively. My research is focused on engineering of the Fc to enhance the antibody effector functions using bacterial combinatorial display technique and high throughput FACS screening system.Additionally, I am working to employ the Anchored Periplasmic Expression (APEx) technology for the screening of libraries based on binding to insoluble antigens from large repertoire libraries possibly including antigens on cell surfaces.
