Dissertation

Dissertation

Dates and instructions for dissertation submission are posted early each semester in the deadlines and forms section of the Graduate School’s website. It is the student’s responsibility to be familiar with all deadlines and submission requirements for the Graduate School, the department and their individual supervising professor.

Graduate School

Graduate School publishing requirements direct doctoral students to submit their dissertation in PDF format to the Texas Digital Library, then turn in their other required documents to the Graduate School (see the forms required and links on the online student forms page). When uploading the dissertation to the Texas Digital Library submission site, students may choose to have a copy of the approved dissertation sent to UMI for supplemental publication, preparation of bound copies, and registration of copyright.

More detailed information on electronic these and dissertations, their preparationconversion to PDF format, and publication can be found on the Graduate School’s website along with other information related to dissertations at the university. The Thesis and Dissertation Support Specialist Bob Penman can be contacted on bpennman@austin.utexas.edu or (512) 475-9365 for further assistance.
