Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center
The Center conducts programs and research activities that enhance safety in the chemical process
industries. The Center's educational activities promote safety as second nature to everyone in
the industry. In addition, the Center develops safer processes, equipment, procedures and
management strategies to minimize losses within the processing industry.

Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry
ATSDR is an agency of the U.S Department of Health and Human Services. Its mission is to prevent
exposure and adverse human health effects and diminished quality of life associated with exposure to hazardous
substances from waste sites, unplanned releases, and other sources of pollution present in the environment.

Center for Hazardous Substance Research
The Center for Hazardous Substance Research is the regional headquarters for the Environmental Protection
Agency Great Plains and Rocky Mountain Hazardous Substance Research Center. The center provides a focal
point for research and research communication.

The National Toxicology Program (NTP) provides access to the NTP database of summaries of study results, the Annual Report on Carcinogens, information about the history of the Program, ongoing work, and future plans.

The Safety and Chemical Engineering Education Program
SACHE is a cooperative effort between the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) and engineering
schools to provide teaching materials and programs that bring elements of process safety into the
education of undergraduate engineers.
